This Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with information about what personal data Select Opinion collects about you and how it is used. This Notice is issued by Select Opinion on behalf of itself and its affiliates (together, \u201cSelect Opinion\u201d, \u201cwe\u201d, \u201cus\u201d and \u201cour\u201d) and is addressed to individuals outside our organization with whom we interact, including but not limited to customers, visitors to our Site, visitors to our offices and other users of our services (together, \u201cyou\u201d). Capitalized terms used herein shall have the meanings set out in the Master Use Agreement. This Privacy Policy describes how we may obtain personal data, the types of personal data we may obtain, how we use, share and protect the personal data, the rights of data subjects with respect to their personal data, and how to contact us about our privacy practices.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

About Select Opinion:<\/span><\/p>\n

Select Opinion is the brand name for expert network activities provided by M3 USA Corporation and its affiliates, including M3 USA Corporation (dba M3 Global Research), M3 USA Corporation (dba All Global), M3 (EU) Ltd. ta M3 Global Research, M3 Medical Holdings Ltd ta All Global, Qualitative and Quantitative Fieldwork Services AB (QQFS), M-Panels Research Services Pvt Ltd (\u201cm360 Research\u201d), Ekas Pty. Limited T\/A Ekas Marketing Research Services, pharma-insight GmbH, Med Planet, Michael Allen Company, PERQ\/HCI, LLC (“M3 MI”), collectively the \u201cM3 Group\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Select Opinion operates a panel of healthcare professional experts on our Site. Expert profiles are shared with Select Opinion\u2019s research partner, Maven.co which operates an expert network via a SaaS platform, both for Select Opinion Site and separately for clients of Maven (\u201cPartner Platform\u201d).   Both our Site and the Partner Platform facilitate activities including in-depth interviews, market research, non-interventional studies, observational studies and other surveys (hereinafter, \u201cActivities\u201d) with clients and available experts. Please note that if you choose to engage with clients on the Partner Platform, you will be subject to partner policies and website terms and Select Opinion\u2019s Privacy Policy will not apply.<\/p>\n

About the M3 Group:<\/span><\/p>\n

The M3 Group, named to represent Medicine, Media, and Metamorphosis, was founded with the goal of changing the world of medicine through full use of the power of the Internet. The M3 Group operates in the US, Asia, and Europe with over 2 million physician members globally via its physician websites. M3 Inc. is a publicly traded company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (jp:2413) with subsidiaries in major markets including USA, UK, Sweden, Japan, S. Korea, India, Australia and China. M3 Group provides services to healthcare and the life science industry. In addition to market research, these services include medical education, ethical drug promotion, clinical development, job recruitment, and clinic appointment services. The Types of Personal Data We May Obtain and Process:<\/span><\/p>\n

Select Opinion collects personal data about its members and those that participate in our Activities. We use this personal data to provide you with services as described below. We may share your data with Clients who would like to engage with experts in a particular specialty area. For more information, please see the \u201cHow We May Share Personal Data\u201d section of this Privacy Policy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Referrals:<\/span><\/p>\n

From time to time, you may be asked to recommend someone who you feel may be suitable to join the Select Opinion expert network. We will provide you a link where you will be asked to provide the name and email address of the person you are referring.  You must seek the consent of the individual you are referring to share their personal data with Select Opinion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Personal data you give us about yourself when you register:<\/span><\/p>\n

We collect the personal data you provide when you agree to join Select Opinions. This may include your name, address, telephone number, email address, and information about your occupation and professional experience and the types of patients you treat. For Healthcare Professionals who are already a member of an M3 Group market research panel, we may use your registration data to pre-populate your Select Opinion expert profile. See also \u201cPersonal data created about you\u201d section of this Privacy Policy. <\/span><\/font>

In order to verify your identity, we use our Partner, Yoti (https:\/\/www.yoti.com\/<\/a>) to collect an ID document and biometric selfie which forms part of the registration process. We may also use details you provide on your place of work to contact them as part of the healthcare professional verification process.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Personal data you give us within and immediately before or after online activities:<\/span><\/p>\n

Online Activities offered to Select Opinion members may be on a website or platform provided by Maven on behalf of Select Opinion, or one provided by a third party. In the latter case, any personal data collected will be subject to the host\u2019s privacy policy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Personal data related to your previous participation in activities:<\/span><\/p>\n

We collect and store records of the Activities you have been invited to participate in, whether you responded to them, qualified for them, completed or partially completed them. We keep this data so that we make it available via the Sites and can respond to member enquiries. On occasions we may also send you invitations to new Activities based upon your participation in previous Activities. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We use this data in aggregate to understand how many individuals of any type may participate in any future Activity and to understand trends in and patterns of participation. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We also maintain records of any data quality issues that may have been identified in the data you provided within an Activity so we can manage the quality of the data we provide to clients \u2013 this may affect your invitation to future Activities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Personal data created about you<\/b><\/span><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

Select Opinion and Maven may use data collected from public sources to enable the creation of a professional biography (\u201cbio\u201d) on your behalf. This bio is used to match your areas of expertise to applicable consultation opportunities to clients of both M3 and Maven. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Upon registration, you may create your own bio or request Maven to create on your behalf.  Maven uses open-AI to create this bio. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We may Process: your personal details (e.g., your name, biographical information); demographic data; your contact details (e.g., your address); records of your consents; payment details; information about our Sites (e.g., the type of device you are using); details of your employer (where relevant); information about your interactions with our content or advertising; and any views or opinions you provide to us.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Payment details you give us for compensation payments<\/b><\/span><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

We collect and use specific personal data so that we can process payment of your Activity compensation. The personal data we need to use varies depending on the form of payment but can include bank account details, name, mailing address and email address. This is used only to process these payments but may be shared with payment processing partners to process the payment. (e.g., we must share bank account details with our bank to process a bank transfer to your account.) This personal data is also retained for financial reporting, audit and tax purposes. Personal data we retain for an extended period:<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to manage its business, Select Opinion needs to retain limited personal data about previous members for longer periods of time. We have carefully limited the personal data retained and the circumstances in which it is needed to the following:<\/p>\n
